Ever since the early 1960s , the mission of Siliguri College of Commerce was to impart a vibrant,
comprehensive, and innovative learning to mould students to participate in the ever-changing industrial
and commercial world.
With the change in global trends and curriculum of academics and a gradual shift into the marketing and
technical sphere of global demand, our mission is to groom our students with a global outlook and
industrial readiness so that they face the future with confidence, knowledge, and requisite skills.
The task of the modern educator is not to cut the jungles, but to irrigate the deserts. This is what the
Institution aim to accomplish.
Siliguri College of Commerce was established in 1962, with the primary objective to impart education in
Commerce and Accounting in the evening session (shift) primarily to enable the working students to
continue their studies. This was also a welcome step for those younger aspirants to continue their
studies at Night after involvement in business activities in the day time. The dedicated students of ICAI
(Chartered Accountant) found this as ideal platform to carry on with their academics.
As of now, the College, affiliated to the University of North Bengal, is running full time courses in
